Along with Experian and TransUnion, Equifax offers consumer credit services that help them review and monitor their credit standing.Equifax Credit Watch Gold is a popular credit solution package offered by Equifax. It includes free online access to the three bureau credit reports, a 30-day free trial of the bureau's credit monitoring service, the user's FICO Score, and a handful of other resources and tools that assist in understanding credit management. The credit reports offered are free and can be accessed an unlimited amount of time during the user's membership with Equifax. They can also be printed out for free. The credit monitoring service covers all three of the credit bureaus. It can be used for free for a period of 30-days, after which if the user decides to continue with the service his credit card on record will be charged. If the user is not interested in continuing with the monitoring service, he must call in to cancel the membership before the 30-day trial period expires, to avoid being charged. Equifax's Triple Credit Monitoring Service allows users to be notified of any changes that are made to their credit reports. Email or mobile phone alerts can be configured to inform users of new activity on each of your credit files. This service is most often used to monitor and prevent identity theft and fraud. Unlike many of the other free credit report offers out there, Equifax.com Credit Watch Gold does not offer free access to bureau credit scores. However, it does offer free access to the user's FICO score, which is a much more important measure of credit worthiness. FICO Scores are used by the majority of credit institutions and lenders. This access to the FICO score is offered for free with signup. Equifax.com is a good place to get free credit reports. Users will have free online access to each of their bureau credit reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. They'll also have free access to their FICO Score, an important determinant of financing and lending practices. FICO Scores are more significant then credit bureau scores because the majority of financial institutions look at the FICO Score. Equifax also includes a nice lengthy free 30-day trial for their credit monitoring service. This gives the user more time to play with the service. 1This page lists a set of products that contains credit reports provided by all three credit bureaus, but on occassion products can be listed here with only 1 Free Credit Report, please read the details of the products carefully before you apply. 2This page lists a set of products that contains credit scores provided by all three credit bureaus, but on occassion products can be listed here with only 1 Credit Score, please read the details of the products carefully before you apply. | |||||||
